Salmon's arrangement of this gives the composers name as "G.B. Bononcini", with a birth year of 1680. Grove Music has no entry for a Bononcini with a middle initial of B, nor does it give an entry for a Bononcini with a birth year of 1680. The four listed are the patriarch, Giovanni Maria (born 1624), and his three sons: Giovanni (birth year 1670), Antonio Maria (birth year 1677), and Giovanni Maria (birth year 1678). This piece is therefore possibly misattributed.
