Chopin - Mikuli Edition

Thanks for the Chopin Funeral march - the mikuli edition is very good, and nice to have. How much else of it do you have?-- Snailey Talk to Me Email me 22:22, 12 August 2009 (UTC)(IMSLP Admin, Copyright Reviewer)

I have volumes one to twelve (the complete solo piano works with opus numbers). Is there any work in particular that you would like me to upload? I was thinking of starting to scan the op.28 preludes (the file size might be a bit too large though). It may take some time though - I am not used to scanning yet. The major works are the preferable ones, in order. That sounds great - the études, Préludes and polonaises might be good places to start. Alternatively, you could do the Mazurkas, which can be done in little (really little) sections, or the waltzes. Thanks!-- Snailey Talk to Me Email me 02:29, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and check Chopin - Mikuli Complete Edition to see what's already here. Also, you should add links to your uploads from this edition, to make sure that it stays current.-- Snailey Talk to Me Email me 02:46, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

One last thing! Put this: {{ChopinMikuliSch|Volume|Date|Plate}} in the publisher field, with the information filled out. It will automatically create everything for you.-- Snailey Talk to Me Email me 02:55, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice - the publisher template is particularly helpful! I will try to scan some good files, the only problem I have is that my scanner is not excellent, and so it is difficult to scan some of the larger books (the ones that have a spine, and are not folded over and stapled down the centrefold)! Scans

Thanks for your great scans (until now - hopefully we can see the whole Mikuli Edition here one day). I'm so happy that your scans are in a real high quality, I can print directly on paper and they fit very good without scaling (I hate scaling a score unless it's to big for the paper I can use).
I just want to make one request. Could you please provide the title pages with the first score of a book.
Oh, and yet another one. I think it's nice to have a thumbnail and a preview picture.
Thank you very much again, I look forward to your next works.-- Piupianissimo Talk

Thank you for your comments, I am glad that someone overlooks the large file sizes! I have not been providing the title pages as I have only scanned extracts from books: I have not done an entire volume yet. I will look into the thumbnails for you, and update the files that I have already uploaded. Joe Wallace 22:03, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
I have just looked into the thumbnails, but I can't seem to convert it to jpg - the file becomes extremely large, and does not display properly. I think that, for the moment, I will leave it and try again at a later date. Joe Wallace 22:13, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
