Miscellaneous information
Victor Eijkhout is a long-time multi-instrumentalist with a history of playing in, and writing for, wind ensembles, jazz and pop bands and other combinations. While he knows his way around church organ, bass guitar, various percussion, and viola da gamba, his main love lies in the wind realm. His collection of world winds includes caval, dixi, hulusi, ney, shakuhachi, xiao, and Native American flutes; he has a CD "Flutecore" of Native American flute music. In recent years his composition activities have been limited to the recorder, writing both faux-renaissance pieces and more intuitive pantonal pieces. He does not adhere to any formal system: the ear is the sole judge of the composition.
Since he has a day job, he makes his music available for free, but would appreciate getting a copy of concert programs if you decide to play his music.
