Violin Partita No.2 in D minor, BWV 1004 (Bach, Johann Sebastian)
|For collections of all Bach's violin sonatas and partitas, see 6 Violin Sonatas and Partitas, BWV 1001-1006.|
For Piano solo (Busoni)
Transcribed from the Duo Art Piano Roll recorded by Busoni
Alfred Dörffel (1821–1905)
Because it was not available for consultation at the time, the editor of this score did not use Bach's autograph manuscript as a source for the Bach-Gesellschaft edition. The BG edition therefore contains occasional differences from the autograph. Perfomers are urged to consult the J.S. Bach autograph, or a modern critical edition, to settle questions of interpretation (especially in matters of phrasing and articulation).
Hermann Kretzschmar (1848–1924)
Manuscript copy, n.d.
This is likely a page of a copy made by J.S. Bach's wife Anna Magdalena. See PDF page 16 in the Bach-Gesellschaft Ausgabe Preface to Book 44 available at IMSLP.
