When published in Tonger's Neue Musik-Zeitung in 1884 the work was erroneously assigned Op.45. Op.45 was Gramman's Violin Sonata in D major (published by Schuberth in 1884 - Monatsbericht (1884), p.235). The Albumblatt was correctly noted as being Op.47 in Hofmeister's Monatsberichte and Handbuch (1887).
