Capriccio Espanol

Guifre, I was wondering if have a complete file for the band transcription for Capriccio Espagnol? There seems to be some missing page(s) in the Solo Clarinet part and some others. Thank you for the upload. -anoe

Sorry, that's all I have, ask somebody else. Bye--Guifré 14:28, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Kleine Tänze

Hi Guifre, thank you for uploading your audio file of my Kleine Tänze für Klavier No.1! I really like it. It comes quite close to how I would like it to be played. I want to tell you, that you missed bar 25. But it sounds interesting this way - an unexpected variation in rhythmic behaviour. Thank you again! - Piupianissimo 19:51, 27 February 2011 (CET)

Rachmaninoff's Symphony No1.

Hi Guifre, The pdf of the final movement of the Rachmaninoff Symphony No.1 appears to be truncated - it stops at page 119 whereas the description says it should go up to p135. Any update would be very welcome. Thanks! --Peacetoall 11:47, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Well...... The problem is that some pages are in the wrong order. I may fix it some day, but you could also fix it. Bye.--Guifré 08:42, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Grainger

Hello Guifre, Thanks for uploading the Grainger piece, A couple of points before you upload any additional works:

  1. Please wait until after July 1st. We try to limit the upload of works due to enter Canada's public domain next year to a six-month window.
  2. Please unlock any PDF files uploaded.

Grainger emigrated to the USA in 1915 and became a US citizen shortly afterwards. The vast majority of the first publications from that date forward were actually G. Schirmer in New York (where he lived), though the Schott London issues typically followed less than a month later. A peculiarity of Grainger scores is that nearly everything from 1912 onwards lists Grainger himself as the copyright claimant, with either Schirmer or Schott listed beneath as publisher. Since the country of origin is the USA, these might be free in parts of the EU due to "rule of the shorter term." This would not be the case with the larger countries like UK, Germany and France due to bi-lateral treaties which are still in force. Carolus 05:26, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Oh thanks for the advice! I just thought there was a 1-year window instead of 6 months. No problem, I'll wait. Have a nice day!--Guifré 14:12, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Gershwin: Swanee

Hi Guifre, The text by Irving Ceasar (d.1996) is only free in the USA. I will tag this for removal to the USA server. Carolus 02:00, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Mozart/Hummel

Hi Guifre, Thanks for all the Hummel transcriptions. They're really cool! Just wondering whether you'd have the flute, violin and cello parts for his version of Mozart 40. I only see the piano part there. Thanks!

Well, I've only got what you've seen. A long time ago I had a very long discussion with Hobbypianist regarding those arrangements (see my archive). I believe those extra parts are ad libitum (notice that the piano part stands alone and there are no cues of other instruments). Also, since it is known that besides the original official edition there were other pirate (unlicensed) versions, that edition may have never featured these parts. Annotations in Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.3

Guifre, I'm happy to see your annotations! You are the first person who discovered and used the system on your own. If you have anything to say about the annotation system, a feature request, or something that could be improved, please let me know, I'm eager to know your opinion. vviro 22:44, 26 February 2012 (CET)
