When you marked Missa in G (Hasse, Johann Adolph) for deletion, did you really mean to delete the entire page including the file uploaded, or did you just mean to take away the duplicate entries? If it's the latter, you can actually remove them yourself, since no new files were created- you can just edit the page. To take out a file entry from a page, one would remove the block of text from '{{#fte:imslpfile' to the closing brackets ( }} ) farther down on the page. You can look at 'File Description 1', other fields, or just the order on the page to check that you're removing the right one. Anyway, please respond. KGill talk email 00:15, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi Bassani Thanks for your work for information: about your Legrenzi's 4 volume Motets contibution today extract from BNF "fonds Philidor": I've already scan classed and completely referenced them all in Legrenzi page "sentimenti devoti op 6" and "acclamationi divote op 10"- have a good day- Stéphane Squin
--Ralph Theo Misch 07:18, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Viel Erfolg und viele Grüße! --Ralph Theo Misch 09:36, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Lieber Ralph Theo Misch!
Was fändest du am besten? Herzliche Grüße Bassani

Interesting collection. Thanks very much for splitting it up into the individual songs. You might wish to upload the entire collection as one or more volumes using Max Friedlaender as composer, since we have dates on him. There's even a biography on Wikipedia as I recall. Regards, Carolus 19:36, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi Bassani, Thanks for all your greats uploads. I see you're often on these sites, as me. You make a big work with theses baroques scores. I know it takes you lot of time and many scores can't be catched in one shot. I want to gradually transfer and reference here all score from the whole fonds Philidor. Will you be agree working together on this? --Squin 29 April 2010
Dear Squin! Thank you so much for your compliments. I´m a great fan of french baroque-music and I´m so happy to find all these scores in the internet. I´m a countertenor and it´s sometimes difficult here in germany to realise this wonderful music - especially these motets. In may I will perform some of the motets by Giovanni Battista Bassani from Toulouse. Yes of corse we should work together. There are so many manuscrips and scores.... It would be a great pleasure for me to work in team with you! Best wishes Bassani
Excellents news , ich bin sehr froh! No problem, sure that we’ll collaborate bester than Sarkozy and Merkel. I ignored Bassani was a toulousain, more: I ‘ve never hear his music.. I ignored too that French baroque wasn’t play in germany, but your composers are so giants that explain things. Question: Why haven’t you create your main page? It will show to others your musical activity and your interests.. Squin
Dear Squin! Bassani was an italian composer born in Bologna, but it seems, that his music was very popular in france. There are so many sources like Toulouse or BNF. In germany french baroque music is a rare guest in the churches, with the exception of the famous "Te Deum" by Charpentier. I would like to propose, that we could finish the motets by Delalande. I´ve uploaded three volumes, but there are still seven other volumes. This could be a goog project for us. Best wishes Bassani
!No doubt: our Coordination start perfectly! Imagine that I start this morning , insomny beetween 6 and 7, to compil the number X and I wanted to talk you about this. I've buy wednesday a CD by les arts Florissants (Harmonia mundi 9,9€)witch contents Te Deum, Super flumina Babylonis and the Confitebor tibi domine and i hear this last motet even 7 or 8 times since. It's a great great composer and I'm at time in a Delalande mania. so..we are well-mind connected! I've even see the big big work you'll do with 3,4,5. The problem with Versailles and Toulouse is the enormous weight of their scans. And the grey color: if i want to print some page which particular interest me, it make my ink to 0. So, this morning i accentuate white and reduce each page weight (from 1m3 to 350k, the visual is satisfiing). But it take so much time! The score has to be really exceptionnal. Do you keep jpegs after transforming? Are you agree to manage impair bands, i'll do the others? May be it's easier to contact me direct by mail at s.quin@hotmail.fr - as you want... Thanks a lot... Hertzliche Grüsse -Squin
Dear Squin! Congratulations for your big work on the site of DeLalande. The last time, when I have visited this site, there where only a few works - and NOW! WOW! The CD by Christie is fantastic, especially Super flumina Babylonis! I´ve downloaded the pictures from the site of the volumes on BNF and then I´ve transformed the pictures in PDF-fils with PDF-Creator. I have a laserprinter, so I have forgotten the problems of the inkjets. At the moment I´m involved in another project. I´m scanning a vocal score of the Opera "Arianna" by Benedetto Marcello. After this I will come back to Delalande. What volume you will upload next? Best wishes Bassani
Hallo Bassani I just come home with a packet of cd's including, thanks to you, a Bassani one - La morte delusa -trad: death confounded- (naïve, la fenice -dir jean tubéry - marked new record) oratorio a cinque voci, cornetto, due violini e basso, Ferrare, 1696 I will hear that with great interest.. For many reasons i had lot of time yesterday so i've already compiled Tome 10, 8, 6, 2 in full pages. I have extracted each motet and put in main Delalande page, so it makes you this impression. I'll upload 8,6,2 tomorrow. I look now at some isolated motets in others Philidor's compilations. So I'll begin the number 1, I let you the 7 but don't worry,- I prefer imagine you having fun in rehearsal or on stage! - Salut - Squin
Dear Squin! You have found a real rareness!!This recording is sold out, but fantastic! There are some wonderful recordings of the motets of Bassani by Philipp Jaroussky! Next week I prepare a course at the University of Arts (UdK) in Berlin, where I will realise some music of Charpentier and Bassani with the students. I love this music so so much! If you really realise your plan with all the motets ba DeLalande, there is no left over for me,but I think your work is so great. Best wishes Bassani
Dear Squin! Yesterday I´ve finished the vocal score of Arianna by B.Marcello.I´m very proud of the result. It was very difficult to make a good scan because the original is very yellowed and damaged. Now I will look to the volume 7 of the motets by Delalande.Best wishes Bassani
--Ralph Theo Misch 22:43, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Lieber Ralph Theo Misch!
Lieber Ralph Theo Misch!
I would hold off uploading any more of these until we determine the nature of Scott's editing. If this goes beyond the definition of an urtext edition, they cannot be posted here as they would still be under copyright in Canada. Thanks Carolus 17:09, 18 May 2010 (UTC) UPDATE: I've been looking over the detailed descriptions on WorldCat. It appears these are actually arrangements for voice and piano by Scott, as the original songs were for voice and lute. Unfortunately, these will have to be deleted as they are still protected in Canada. Sorry, Carolus 17:20, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Lieber Bassani!
--Ralph Theo Misch 08:28, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Lieber Squin! Das ist ja phantastisch! Das war bestimmt sehr viel Arbeit. Liebe Grüße
Hello Tim, I wish you're fine.. I had upload Philidor manuscript of these scores. I saw you've splited the big weight Ballard complete score into parts : great-great ! I can make them lighter with quasi-same quality (for example 64mo prolog reduced to 26mo).. If you're agree, may i change ? You hasn't' came in Paris in June ? Toulouse concert was a success ? -Squin- 19 June 2010
About Delalande, I'm re-uploading Philidor Tome 3,4,5 (we've told about that in may )with a bester contrast, good resolution and reduced weight. I've deleting ancien scan (but I don't touch to your signature) -Squin- 02 July 2010

Hi Bassani, I just noticed you uploaded some pieces by Anfossi from various Italian libraries (I guess you get them via internetculturale). Could you perhaps give a link to the corresponding pages in the scanner field? This would be really nice, as it makes finding the works there much easier. If I remember correctly, in order to see the correct address in your browser, you have to open the work page in a new window/tab, it's not sufficient to just click the link to the page in the search interface. --BoccaccioTalk Email 12:26, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Hallo Bassani!
Interessiert?
Maigost 16:58, 6 November 2010 (UTC) Lieber Maigost!
maigost
Thank you!
Just wondering if Polly should be given a page of its own... What do you think? It is subtitled the Second Part of the Beggar's Opera, though it is really a sequel that stands alone.
Bassani, please excuse the mess of repeated edits, but I could not add a new topic previously as it was supposed to work. I think it was the "no mediawiki" command I now deleted--Kalliwoda 18:12, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
Hallo Bassani, I noticed your recent uploads of scans from BNF, and you invest some time to remove empty pages. However the pdf downloads offered by BNF are not very good (1000 pixel), and they seem recently to have halved even this low resolution to the point where it is almost impossible to read!
Very high resolution greyscale scans can be accessed only on screen using the zoom (the icon on the far left): This is not tile-based but coordinate-based: Zoom in, then select a portion of the image for export (one of the buttons on the top right) into a new window. In the url of the new window, you can then change the coordinates to display the full page: "l=6" is the highest resolution of about 5400 pixel, try "r=0,0,5000,6500&save" to get the entire page (if your coordinates exceed the scanned image a little, the max scan will be displayed).
For your upload of the Charpantier try http://gallica.bnf.fr/proxy?method=R&ark=btv1b9058610m.f1&l=6&r=0,0,5000,6500&save and you get a picture of 6280x4852 pixel. You can save each high resolution image (on my mac by ctrl-click) as jpg file, leaf through the work by changing the page marker in the url, (e.g. f1 to f54). Not as convenient as an automatic download, but pretty fast, and something where imslp can easily improve on the direct download option from Gallica.
And then I figured out how to use the command-line program cURL with the utility "Terminal" on my Mac (Thanks to Boccaccio for the command) - cURL is also available for Windows: In "Terminal" or a similar windows utility type (or copy/paste) curl 'http://gallica.bnf.fr/proxy?method=R&ark=btv1b9058610m.f[1-47]&l=6&r=0,0,5000,6500&save' -o 'Beauvarlet-Charpentier_Op_2_#1.jpg', and soon you will find all 47 high resolution jpg's on your hard disk. You can then remove the empty pages, crop and batchconvert to pdf. Since the original scans already have some jpg-compression, it is possible to further halve size by saving as pdf with a jpg-compression of 4 or 5 without decreasing quality noticably. See my Devienne Sonata or Telemann Der getreue Musikmeister uploads. For landscape orientation of pages, some programs also allow to convert to pdf with page dimensions intact.
If you have enough spare time, you may investigate this - but it is difficult to keep up with the speed new material is put online by libraries like BnF, SBB, SLUB... Just to quickly upload the offered download file may be much more time efficient. --Kalliwoda 18:12, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Bassini! Now I am uploading other editions of An introduction to the skill of musick (Playford, John), and I have seen a wrong information about publisher information on 1697 and 1703 editions you uploaded. According with Grove, from 1694 the further editions of this book was published by Henry Playford (his son), sine John died the most in 1687. Can you correct it? All the best! =) Feduol 18:12, 29 August 2011 (UTC) Dear Feduol! Thanks for these informations! I´ve got the wrong informations by Nanki. Best wishes Bassani
Create a category Milton Sr., John and move all the works by the composer- just those works- John Milton there, is one idea. (Not the whole category- just move the works you want- but then that's how you move a category anyway- so just move those particular works :) ) Or Milton (composer), John. I prefer the former, some prefer the latter. Of course include the category prefix stuffs (could have done, just being lazy- sorry!!!- hope I am being clear!!) Eric 19:32, 31 August 2011 (UTC) (if you don't have move privileges - I forget, sorry- create the new category for the composer, and point out which ones you want moved to the composer/sr. category and ask :) )
Hi Bassani,
because I’ve already downloaded this once already today (and would prefer not to do so twice), are the pages of this scan of the Briefe Discourse in the right order? The one I obtained from elsewhere (http://www.pbm.com/~lindahl/ravenscroft/brief/all.pdf) had the title page as the last page; and various music pages out of their true order.
Cheers, Philip @ © talk 07:52, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Bassani, please use wiki talk pages rather than email for general questions. Your files you uploaded several days ago have yet to be reviewed for copyright information. Please be patient as we will get to them soon enough. Daphnis 12:41, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
We are somewhat overloaded presently with files from another archive being uploaded here, plus some of our copyright review team is on vacation. We'll get to them soon, not to worry. Daphnis 16:36, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Hello Bassani, We can't allow arrangements by Büsser on the main server as it is in Canada, where his work remains under copyright (even there). You'll have to ask Daphnis, Schissel or one of the other admins familiar with uploading items to the USA server to do it for you - unless you wish to learn to do it yourself (see the forums). At any rate, I have deleted it from the Canada server. Thanks, Carolus 01:18, 5 December 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright dmin)
Dear Bassani, You need to watch out for these as two of those you uploaded today (Malipiero, d.1973 and Toni, d.1969) are not public domain in Canada. Such scores can only be uploaded to the USA server, which must be done by an admin with access. I tagged the two for maintenance so that KGill or one of the other admins with access to the US server can move them there when they have time. Thanks, Carolus 02:35, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Dear Bassani, While reviewing this pdf, I noticed that some pages have been blocked out in the scan (page 256 of the pdf, for example). Any idea why this was done and how one can get the rest of the work?. --LadyIslay 06:39, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Hello Bassani,
There were at least four volumes. The first has a plate number of 89, the second 401 (which suggests they could have been issued originally by Flaxland before Durand purchased them in 1870). Vol.3 was in 1908, plate D. & F. 7004 and Vol.4 in 1909, plate 7261. Carolus 04:55, 19 January 2012 (UTC). I just saw the scan of the complete volume 2 at US-PRV. This item appears to have originally been a Flaxland issue (before 1870) from the appearance of the engraving and typography used. Interestingly, it appears that Durand actually re-engraved volume 1, which is the volume scanned for the University of Toronto. In any case, no date is printed on the scores so the only thing we know for sure is that the copy scanned for the Lee Library was printed sometime between 1886 and November 1891. Carolus 04:13, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
