Born Astoria, NYC 1954 Ernesto Ferreri started composing at age 19, and had the good fortune to begin study with Robert Ward at NC School of the Arts in the fall of 1974. He received a MA from CUNY Flushing (Queens College) in 1985.
At the time of this writing (2009) he has been teaching at Cape Fear Community College for 16 years.
