Carl Reinecke (1824–1910)

From the Moulis-Gauckler archives with former owner identified as S.(uzanne) Moulis-Gauckler 1889 who purchased the score in her home city of COLMAR (Alsace) at the emporium whose dry seal is barely legible on the title page (Musique... G.KERN, 2 Place de la Cour..., 29, Grande Rue... COLMAR). An 1869 preface by Carl Reinecke insisting on the value of "the choicest melodies" by the Great Masters to instil a proper appreciation of music, is to be found on p.1
