  • 2-piano reduction noted in the 1889 Bulletin mensuel des récentes publications françaises of the Bibliothèque Française (page 18).
  • Choudens's plate number means most likely 1886. Don't know if we should retain the Godard's catalogue year instead of this.
  • Note: Symphony No.1 was not published, nor did Godard himelf call this symphony No.2 (instead he used to refer to it as being Première, but never wrote a Deuxième). There was also another unpublished early symphony, which seems to be lost (hence it has no No.).
