  • According to this WorldCat entry, the words were by Enrique Caruso, which makes it possible that he set the words to a well-known serenata for mandolin called "Notte stellata". If that work is ever uploaded, the melody can be compared, and this would move to that page under an arrangements tab.
  • That same WorldCat entry above is the only one involving voice, and it gives the instrumentation as voice and piano. However, it is a 2011 publication and it is impossible to know whether it or the orchestral version is the original. Tagging is therefore very much subject to correction.
