Misc. Comments

This sonata has been reworked as Flute sonata in G major Op. I n. 5 (HWV 363b). The closing minuet was the subject of several late 19th century/early 20th century arrangements (by e.g. Wilhelm Kempff, Schroeder, Burmester as above) (perhaps in G major because that is the key in which it was published in Opus 1?).
