History
The Norsk Musikforlag (=Norwegian Music Publishers) is, somewhat obviously, a Norwegian music publishing house, specializing in Norwegian music. The firm was founded in 1909 with Brodrene Hals and Wilhelm Hansen's acquisition of Carl Warmuth's company. Norsk Musikforlag acquired Oluf By's Musikforlag in 1925 and Norsk Notestikk og Forlag in 1975. Norsk Musikforlag also publishes educational music publications, in addition to works of contemporary Norwegian composers.
