History

Not to be confused with the later Mitteldeutscher Verlag of Halle, this Berlin publisher operated in the early years of the 20th century. It published mainly songs by contemporary composers such as Arthur Altmann, Willy Richter, Richard Kursch, and Clemens Schmalstich (1880-1960).
There were also a few instrumental items in the catalog, such as Ignatz Waghalter’s Rhapsodie for violin and orchestra, Op.9, and the Zwei Konzertstücke for cello and piano, Op.26 by Richard Heinrich Stein (1882-1942).
