Listed in E major in Allitt's catalogue, though originally notated in D major (which is a usual practice for this catalogue) (also, like JS Bach's, may have been first composed in one key then revised and transposed to another. Existing recordings, eg a 1995 recording from Studio SM, also list it as being in D or E.)

Possibly published as Donizetti's "Vespers" by Ditson in 1894.
