Flimsy yellowed page.This singing lesson written by J.Bonnet (some uncertainty here, Bonnet being a common name, it could apply to someone else), was published in one of the practical lessons manuals that were intended for schoolmasters under the label Leçons de choses. The text used to illustrate the singing lesson is one of the most famous poems in the French literature, and well known to pupils and the general public. The second page is not musical in character and proceeds with explanations relating to experiments in physics, or, as they are termed in French, travaux dirigés.
