IMSLP talk:Changelog/IMSLP 1.0

During this upgrade and when the site goes live again, are there going to be any access restriction mechanisms in place to limit a user's IP to the appropriate PD works, or will it be as before where the users must determine for themselves which pieces are legal to download in their country? The download filter is already in place. However, the filter does not apply to people in the 'copyrightreview' group since, well, they have to review the copyright in the first place :) --Feldmahler 10:57, 6 June 2008 (EDT)

Would you briefly explain the filter? Was this something suggested by our legal counsel? I was under the impression that such a measure was not going to be taken and that such decisions were to be left to the potential downloader. Daphnis 11:03, 6 June 2008 (EDT)

A couple of minor recommendations (while I think of them):

  1. Change the label "Publisher Info:" to simply "Publisher:"
  2. Get rid of the "Recording" field in the General Information section and replace with "Duration" (which will fit nicely in the limited space)
  3. For typesets, replace "Typesetted by" (typesetted is not a word) with "Typeset by" (Assuming you wish to differentiate between computer music setting with Sibelius or Finale and actual engraving done with zinc plates and punches - for which we'll use "engraving")

Looks exciting! Carolus 23:10, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
