The Free Society for the promotion of good guitar music was operating in Germany (based in Augsburg), publishing works in the very early 20th century. They issued 8 volumes per year, starting in the Spring of each year (usually April or May). They contain short compositions for one or two guitars (and occasionally for different combinations of instruments), and songs (with guitar[s]). The engraving and printing was done by Leipzig-based
The volumes currently on IMSLP were part of the Boije collection, which is in the process of being assimilated in its entirety by IMSLP.
THE FOLLOWING COMPOSERS' WORKS FROM THIS COLLECTION HAVE NOT BEEN UPLOADED TO IMSLP AS THEY ARE NOT PD YET:
- Dählke, Ernst (1877-1960)
- Mainly arrangements of other pieces (e.g. by Krieger)

- Der Wechselschlag for guitar
Complete Index of Works
The plate numbers used come from the Jahrgang (Volume) and Heft (Issue) of each publication. So, the plates for Heft 5 of Jahrgang III would be: III,5.
If you are looking for the particular issue from which a composition comes, look at the plate number (bottom of a page, or the work page here on IMSLP) and then go to the respective Jahrgang and Heft. If there is only a number and no roman numerals, then it is Jahrgang I. (Jahrgang I issues also have a F.S.# plate number sometimes.)
