either someone completely different (and since J. Küffner's first work is reported as having come out- recently I think?- in a 1815 issue of a magazine, this may well be so, since on the discussion page of the Wikipedia article I identify "F. Küffner" and Joseph Küffner because the two have, I think, about the same symphony lists in two different places once under each name- but the ca.1818 dates I seem to have gotten for Joseph Küffner's early symphonies, together with the medium-high opus numbers, suggests a -lot- of prolificity- unless they really are by Franz Küffner and he is not the same composer as Joseph Küffner (who, as of 1830 when he- Joseph- was at op.213, was not writing symphonies, concertos, or string quartets at all...) -- all too confusing. Matthias Henke in 1985 published Joseph Küffner Leben und Werk des Würzburger Musikers im Spiegel der Geschichte, Thematisch-bibliographisches Verzeichnis der Werke Joseph Küffners, Tutzing.
