Miscellaneous information
Russian cellist, born about 1870. Graduated from St. Petersburg conservatory after studying cello with Karl Davydov and composition with Anatoly Lyadov. Founded his own cello school in St. Petersburg in 1890, and in 1898 started a monthly music magazine The Cellist. Wrote many cello arrangements.
