Nationality presumed, as circumstances of birth and death unknown; flourished as violinist to Duke of Mantua between 1678 and 1685, some information known up to 1696 (a lost opus 5 published then). (Or to translate from German Wikipedia, "About the composer Grossi, little is known and comes only from the four surviving publications (Opus 5 is known of but lost), as well as the traditions preserved by Fétis and Eitner. These only surviving sources indicate that he at least at the end of the. 17th century was a violinist in the service of the last Duke of Mantua, Carlo IV.")
