Re instrumentation; indications are given for some individual movements which seem to imply an orchestral texture, ie. "Flutes et Violons," "Violons, Hautbois et Trompettes" or "Violons" above a single staff = several players playing a single part. Some movements within the cantatas are clearly for a solo instrument (flute or viol). It's not clear whether the violin parts are soloistic, or to be played by several players to a part. The violin parts aren't always labelled, but are out of range for the other instruments mentioned in the collection.
