Duo for Two Marimbas and Junk, is a concert piece for two players, both playing Marimba and unpitched percussion. The form of the piece is a sort of a rondo made up of alternating and recognizable sections, one of which, aggressive and highly recognizable, is first heard at the beginning of the piece and recurs after each new section. Toward the middle of the piece a long slow section, announced by a triangle solo, interrupts the rondo. The rondo restarts after a long crescendo and leads to the conclusion of the piece.
