Viola Concerto, Op.10 (Amon, Johann Andreas)

A major original version
Paris: Pleyel, n.d.(1800?). Plate 223.
G major transposed version
Manuscript, (probably 1936)
Solo Viola should play "in scordatura" a step higher. The copyist preferred to transpose all orchestral parts a step lower so that the solo viola avoids this unconfortable tuning. For this reason some notes of second violins are too low to be played and should be replaced. In a footer note, this manuscript is dated 1936 (and should be "urtext")
