May have been originally for orchestra (see notes to WorldCat)? Also, may be the fourth piece in a suite or collection called "Italiana" (there is such a thing listed in En-Wikipedia as having been composed or published 1922, but was this piece part of it? It fits the theme of course...)
At least three commercial recordings - one on Swedish Society Discofil (Olof Höjer, recorded 2005; duration 4'48"), one on Musica Sveciae (duration 3'23"); an earlier one with Stig Ribbing, piano times in at 3'05" (1972 HMV LP, may be the same as that on a 1966 recording the same pianist made, "Svensk pianolyrik 2", of Swedish piano works, that contains this piece). - Schissel
