Navigation etc.

A piece of perhaps more historical than musical interest these days, but at the time it was a rather unique performance placing a Commodore 64 and speakers on stage and hitting the Enter key to start the piece for the audience (at the Painted Bride Arts Center in Philadelphia). The piece is not notated but is a Basic program I wrote mostly consisting of evolving loop iterations. Note: I posted the original cassette and a version of it run through Waves X-Noise filtering VST plugin. As you can hear this is an incredible technology from Waves that is used by many companies to eliminate and reduce noise from broadcasts, vinyl transfers, etc. Waves has a number of noise reduction plugins for various applications if you are transferring old media or need to remove hiss or electrical hum (I have nothing to do with them - just educating those who may not be aware of this technology).
