User talk:YuriyLcello

Welcome

Dear YuriyLcello,
Welcome to the IMSLP! We would like to thank you for contributing.

Please visit our Contributor Portal to learn more about contributing to IMSLP.

The Tutorial provides you a basic introduction to using this site. If you wish to contribute music scores, you will find all the details in the page How to Submit a Score. In addition to that, it is advisable for you to have a basic understanding of copyright law. In case you aren't able to find something you want to know in those pages, you can leave a note on the forums.

Please consider putting the Babel tags on your user page, to tell others which languages you speak. You can also use the Babel system to find users who speak a certain language.

You can communicate with other users by placing a message on their talk page (click on a user's name, and then on Discussion), just like I did on your page. When logging on the next time, this user will get a notification of a new message. Replying to these messages can be done on your own talk page, or on the corresponding user's talk page. Note that there will be no notification for the other user when replying on your own page. It's always a good idea to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), which automatically adds your user name and a datestamp.

If you want to discuss something with the whole community, you can post a message in the IMSLP forums. For very important messages, please contact the staff directly via the IMSLP staff contact list.

Frequently asked questions can be found on the FAQ page.

We're looking forward to your next submission!

Stravinsky: Rite of Spring

Hello YuriyLcello, I saw you had asked about posting your cello octet arrangement of the above title over at Feldmahler's page. The short answer, for the time being, is "no." All of Stravinsky is under copyright in Canada, including the Rite of Spring. This could change if we re-open the US server, which would be able to host works which are public domain in the USA only (like the Rite of Spring). If we do re-open the US server, it would not be until after the first of the year. Carolus 14:35, 2 November 2008 (EST) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)

Davydov (Litolff edition)

Hi YuriyLcello. I saw that you uploaded a file that includes not only pieces from Op.41, but also Op.20 and Op.23. Please split these kinds of collections in the future - the collection 'Davidoff-Album' is overridden by the division of his works into different opus numbers, and therefore each opus number should go on its own page. Thanks, KGill talk email 19:34, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

== G Paque

Glad to meet another Paque fan.

Your Paque is G Paque, not Desire. Info from Hoff XIX- 17 cello fantasies on operas from Op 8 1858 to Op 25 1888. Please create a separate composer page.

Later we can do J Paque (1 work in HoffXIX)!

Paganini-Wellerson

Mila Wellerson (1895-1972) is not public domain in Canada. The arrangement you posted may not be free in the USA either as it bears a 1924 copyright notice. We have therefore deleted it, unfortunately. Carolus 06:06, 2 December 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)
