User talk:Stef13

Welcome

Dear Stef13,
Welcome to the IMSLP! We would like to thank you for contributing.

Please visit our Contributor Portal to learn more about contributing to IMSLP.

The Tutorial provides you a basic introduction to using this site. If you wish to contribute music scores, you will find all the details in the page How to Submit a Score. In addition to that, it is advisable for you to have a basic understanding of copyright law. In case you aren't able to find something you want to know in those pages, you can leave a note on the forums.

Please consider putting the Babel tags on your user page, to tell others which languages you speak. You can also use the Babel system to find users who speak a certain language.

You can communicate with other users by placing a message on their talk page (click on a user's name, and then on Discussion), just like I did on your page. When logging on the next time, this user will get a notification of a new message. Replying to these messages can be done on your own talk page, or on the corresponding user's talk page. Note that there will be no notification for the other user when replying on your own page. It's always a good idea to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), which automatically adds your user name and a datestamp.

If you want to discuss something with the whole community, you can post a message in the IMSLP forums. For very important messages, please contact the staff directly via the IMSLP staff contact list.

Frequently asked questions can be found on the FAQ page.

We're looking forward to your next submission!

Hi Stef13! I will have to remove the "LE CYGNE mus.pdf (Guilmant, Félix Alexandre)" because of a few reasons; the first of which being that the choice of title tells the user very little about what is supposed to go in the workpage (and I don't know how to correct this since I'm not familiar with Guilmant's arrangements).

Also, I don't think an arrangement of one relatively short piece (its not like the arrangement is of the entire Carnival) deserves one work page... it might be a better idea to put the file under a broader work page covering, for example, a book of transcriptions, etc. Though, as it is (with the file submitted to the Carnival page) I would think it is fine, but you can submit it to another Guilmant page if you like, just not a single work page dedicated to it. Thanks for the submission btw! --Feldmahler 14:34, 7 March 2007 (EST)

I also had to delete the duplicate file; you can submit one file to multiple pages witout uploading multiple copies :) --Feldmahler 14:44, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Merci beaucoup! --Peter 13:43, 9 March 2007 (EST)

Field mixup

Hi Stéphane! I just wanted to gives a heads up that there is a mix-up of fields in some of your submissions... I've corrected one of them here. You originally put the Editor in the "Publisher" field and vice versa... Thanks for the files though! :) --Feldmahler 15:18, 10 March 2007 (EST)

Capitalization

Hi Stef! It would be a good idea to follow the capitalization rules of IMSLP, and not have the title in all capitals letters. Using all capital letters is considered shouting for many people, and should generally be avoided. Thanks! --Feldmahler 10:43, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
