User talk:Jawher MATMATI

Dear Jawher, Thank you for your contribution to IMSLP. As you can see, I've reviewed it and it is now available for download. One question: Since your edition is apparently based upon that by Louis Feuillard (1872-1941), do you happen to know what the nature of Feuillard's contribution was? Any original, creative work by Feuillard is protected in the EU until 1/1/2012, due to his death being in 1941. However, if his editing of Linder's work was of an 'urtext' nature, there will be no problem with respect to copyright. Thanks, Carolus 14:02, 15 June 2009 (EDT) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)

Vivaldi

Dear Jawher, Would you mind uploading the Vivaldi parts and score using the link on the Concerto per Due Violoncelli, RV 531 (Vivaldi, Antonio) page where it says "Add a file to this page" or "Add multiple files to this page". This would be a great help! Thanks for your contributions. Generoso 16:29, 16 June 2009 (EDT)

Dear Jawher, Would it be possible for you to combine the separate movements into a single file? If not, I can do it here. Also, don't use the term "full score" unless you are using it for the complete patrition d'orchestre. Two 2 solo parts on a single system is really a "part" in English. Using the term "full score" is misleading since that term is normally reserved only for the complete conductor's score which has the staves for the orchestra along with those for the cello soloists. Thanks, Carolus 15:04, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

Romberg

Hi Jawher! I just want to clarify something. Your submission of Romberg's 3 Divertimenti for Cello and Piano as you know really consists of three separate pieces: Opp.42, 46, and 65. Therefore, I split the file up, submitted the pieces to the respective work pages, and deleted the original. In the future when you scan collections, please separate the individual pieces if possible and create separate work pages for them; this makes it easier to find a specific work. Thanks for contributing! KGill talk email 15:46, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Giuseppe Becce

Hello Jawher, We had to delete the arrangement of Brahms Hungarian Dance No.1 you posted because it was the work of Giuseppe Becce (1877-1973) who is still under copyright in Canada (also the EU). Carolus 05:30, 4 December 2009 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)

Oboe Concerto, K.314 (Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus)

Hi Jawher,

please don’t upload scores from the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe (NMA), as (a) there is a project already to do this, and (b) the vast majority of NMA files from the Mozarteum website are subject to the technical blocking that is currently in place here. This means that no one can download the file you uploaded. Regards, Philip Legge @ © talk 07:18, 3 January 2010 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright team)

File Removal

Hi! Since you removed one of your typesets from this page, may I assume that you'd like it deleted? KGill talk email 02:00, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Joachim Stutchewsky (1891-1982)

Dear Jawher,

Sorry, I just noticed that all of these editions you posted have valid USA copyright notices dated 1933. While the editions might well fall under the urtext category in the EU (and possibly Canada), the valid copyright notices throw them into the notorious [TB] jail. (see the forum for a discussion of this.

Bach: Brandenburg Concerti - Mutopia files

Dear Jawher,

You really need to combine the files into a single full score and single parts instead of uploading the needless and ridiculous division into movements by Mutopia. Since we already have the critical edition of the parts available here, I seriously question the need for a rather amateurish typeset from Mutopia to begin with. There should be 1 file for the full score and 1 file for each of the parts (1 score file, 10 part files). I am removing the ones you posted. Again, please submit the full score as a separate file. Note that we have full scores at the top of the page and parts below. Thanks, Carolus 21:30, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

String Duos and Trio (Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus)

Hi Jawher. We appreciate your contribution, but please note that on IMSLP, scores are split for individual works, and collected editions can only in certain exceptions be uploaded as a whole. If you browse Mozart's works, you will see that there exist already work pages for the duos. Please split your pdf and upload it to the correct work pages. Thank you! BSB Scans

Hello Jawher,

Thanks for the Beethoven series from BSB. One thing, please remove the page with BSB's nonsensical copyright claim. We do not recognize any copyright claim to scans of public domain scores. It is therefore best to remove these pages as they confuse our users. Thanks, Carolus 03:46, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Benvenuto Terzi

Thanks for working on the Gaylord Project! However, please do not upload works by Terzi Benvenuto, as his works are not public domain yet. Remember that the last surviving author has to have died at least 50 years ago. Thanks-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 16:24, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Louis Fournier

Hi Jawher! Unfortunately, he died in 1963, so anything edited by him is under copyright in Canada (and the EU, and most of the rest of the world) and cannot be hosted on this site. I therefore had to delete your scan. Sorry, KGill talk email 01:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Replacing files

Dear Jawher,

When you need to replace a file with a corrected version, simply click on the file number link (#####). Then, you can upload the new version which will automatically update the file already there. Thanks, Carolus 02:13, 19 February 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)

Après un rêve (Faure)

Copyright Violation: Milton Katims (1909-2006)
Red copyright.png

Please DO NOT add works by Milton Katims (1909-2006).
Reason: Under copyright worldwide, unfortunately. Will have to be deleted.

PS: If you want to make your own viola arrangement, be sure to not duplicate Katims since International is very aggressive about enforcing their copyrights - and they definitely watch this site. Sorry, Carolus 23:39, 25 September 2011 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)
