Michel Allard is a graduate of the University of Toronto having obtained a Mus. Bac. degree in 1974 and an M. Mus. degree in 1976. He pursued a career as a music teacher with the Peel Board of Education for 25 years and also served as a church musician in various churches for 30 years. Since retiring from teaching in 2005, he has devoted much time to composing and the study of piano repertoire. He presents his works with MMMM,a group of composers devoted to performing their works twice a year in Stratford, ON. He now resides in Kitchener ON with his toy poodle, Chester. A number of his works are suitable for beginner-intermediate students of the piano. They include: BICYCLE, CYCLE, 12X12 BLUES ETUDES, 7 LITTLE DUOS, 8 LITTLE DUOS, THEME and VARIATIONS, 3 BLUES, 3 ROMANCES, SKETCHY SUITE and PETITE SUITE. Many of the works for string combinations are arrangements of piano pieces and are intended for students.
