Misc. Comments

Grove makes no mention of the violin/viola/piano version of this Trio. Baerenreiter's urtext edition says that the alternate version was not mentioned in the autograph manuscript, but the first printing by Artaria & Co. in Vienna was for violin/viola/piano with the with the note La parte del Violino si puo eseguire anche con un Clarinetto, and the violin part altered every time the original clarinet part goes below g. Since the urtext edition comes with an alternate violin part, this has been tagged for both versions.
