The manuscript states "Oboe primo, Oboe secondo et Basso", but in the Largo the second oboe part is lower than the range of the oboe (several b's, one a). The sonata could, however, be played on 2 oboes d'amore, and therefore alternate transposed parts have been added to this edition. Alternatively, the second oboe part could be performed on a violin.

Misc. Comments

  • We thank Lund University Library for permission to post manuscript and typeset here on IMSLP
  • This has been tagged only for the 2-oboe version, because that is the only designated instrumentation on the manuscript.
