Includes an interesting appendix of "ungrammatical" tunes (i.e. primitive American compositions), with the note: A few tunes embraced in the Assembly's list were found so imperfect in their structure, that any effort towards appropriate correction would have destroyed their identity. These tunes the editor has thought fit to throw together at the close of the volume, without the slightest revision.
