Misc. Comments
Form; A/ B/ A' - This piece is set in Seoul, South Korea. The Tahn Riverside (Korean: 탄천길) is a long, yet slender river which spans dozens of kilometers south of the Han river. This piece complements my personal experience of my enjoyable stroll along this riverside in summer 2010 where many people go to exercise, talk and enjoy a calm atmosphere inside the city limits. Musically, the A section(s) are in a free form in terms of rhythmic patterns, reflecting the idea of a calm, floating mind. The middle section (B) interprets the gentle and small wildlife, as well as vibrant energy from the people on the riverside, using more traditional Asian/Korean musical concepts & styles. I hope you will enjoy this piece and more that will follow this piece as I write more about my experiences in primarily Korea, and the rest of Asia. (Please Comment!) Thank You - 감사합니다 Steffen Schmidt - 슈밋 스태픈
