Talk:Symphony No.4, Op.36 (Tchaikovsky, Pyotr)

Publisher

Ok, I've done a bit of research on this one and I believe the publisher was 'Jurgenson':

  • It's the same as this Kalamus edition: [1]
  • Kalmus is a reprint of 'Jurgenson / Rather' from 1888 [2]
  • This site lists 1877 as the date of composition so the 1888 date is probably the date when it was republished as it was first published in 1880.

Does this seem reasonable? This is the best I can do without the real scores. Can anyone verify this? Taking a look at the dover scores would be helpful also. I'd bet that the other Tchaikovsky scores are from the same publisher. Horndude77 23:44, 17 October 2006 (EDT)

In reference to the file of the second movement: File does not work, AcrobatReader can not open it (Ahandrich 10:46, 25 March 2007 (EDT)) Everything works fine for me, except that page 9 doesn't appear (Acrobat 4.0, Firefox 1.5.0.12). —Mathcello 21:54, 14 June 2007 (EDT)

I have no problems with the file, and page 9 does appear when I download. Please try again, and if necessary address concerns here. --Goldberg988 22:15, 14 June 2007 (EDT)
