Talk:String Quintet No.3 in C major, K.515 (Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus)

I find the order of the movements in this piece somewhat weird. The score clearly suggests the movements in the following (unusual) order: I. Allegro, II. Menuetto, III. Andante, and IV. Allegro. Not only is this unusual, other sources[1] also seem to indicate otherwise. This may well be an edition difference. --Feldmahler 23:05, 19 October 2006 (EDT)

A little more research reveals support for this "unusual" sequence too: [2]. --Feldmahler 23:10, 19 October 2006 (EDT)

As for me, I have always been accustomed to the "Allegro - Andante - Menuetto - Allegro" order instead, since this was the one used by the first performance I listened (http://www.amazon.ca/Mozart-String-Quintets/dp/B00000410S). The Digital Mozart Edition (Neue Mozart Ausgabe, dme.mozarteum.at) uses this order as well. I was very surprised when I saw the other one on the Breitkopf&Hartel edition. --Travelsbypiano 23:12, 06 October 2011 (CET)
