  • Of the arrangements, links have been made for the works we have pages for; where the composer is known but we don't have these specific works, a link to the composer's page has been made. Of the remaining works:
Vol.I -- the Operatic March is unidentified, so if anyone recognizes it, please let one of the admins know so we can make the links. Similarly, it is unknown which of the Strauss composers wrote the Anna Waltz, so it needs further identification. Likewise, the "Tyrolian Waltz" is not yet identified. One of the most frequent references to a waltz with that name is to one written by Rossini, supposedly for La Cenerentola, but this is not that one. There is also apparently one in Rossini's Péchés de vieillese (vol.II no.11), but IMSLP's set of that work is incomplete, and vol.II only goes up to no.10, so it has not been compared.
Vol.II -- of the four in this set, either the composer is not identified at all, or only partially (IMSLP has three composers with the surname Lumbye). "J.J." Cherry is likely to be "J.W." Cherry, who wrote a song called Shells of Ocean.
Vol.III -- Of the two by Donizetti, neither shows what work it comes from, so if anyone can identify these it would be appreciated. The other two do not even have a composer identified.
Vol.IV -- the tune for Yankee Doodle is thought to pre-date the American Revolution, and there is no known composer for it. Converse has not identified the composer of The Old Fifer. Hail to the Chief was supposedly written by James Sanderson, but the tunes don't match up, although the tune Converse arranges in this collection is the well-known one.
