Navigation etc.

Several other quartets by Mayer (in G major and in B, for instance) have recently been published by Furore-Verlag but not, I believe, this one yet. - Schissel

Note: The RISM in the external links seem to be slightly different works, actually- Scherzo in 2nd place, movement headings not the same (and the Adagio movement is in E major, besides...) - and may be of an earlier or later version of this quartet - though the incipit of the first movement is the same. BSB has now digitized at least one of the other manuscript versions, which can therefore be compared with this one (to see if they are the same quartet, and if so perhaps an earlier or later autograph, etc.) - see SBB link, and also SBB digital copy of (some version of) the parts.
