  • The first movement was written during Ludolf Nielsens personal crisis, caused by the world war in 1914. He continued 1921 and finished the score in 1922 June.

As the word "suite" occurs nowhere on the score, however, we cannot use it as a subtitle or a tag.

Recorded on CD in 1999 on dacapo 8.224157. (This recording can be heard over NPL, search term Skovvandring, or "Forest Walk" as is used as the subtitle of the CD.)
