Simphonies pour le Souper du Roy (Lalande, Michel Richard de)
Scores and Parts
Re-copied and compiled in 1745.
These 2 tomes are a collection of Delalande's works, put into a new order (Suites) and with augmentations. There is a table of contents at the end of each tome with an universal index at the end of tome II regarding both books. The music is reduced to leading voice and numbered Basse Continue.
Arrangements and Transcriptions
Septième Suitte: Grande pièce royale
For Bassoon, Strings and Continuo (Albanese)
Transcription from pp.175-177 of Tome I. The manuscript contains only the Violin I (Dessus), Bassoon and Cello. In order to reconstruct it as Delalande possibly could have written it at that time I added a Violin II (Haut-Contre), Viola I (Taille) and a Viola II (Quinte) to the whole, using the figures in the BC and my basic counterpoint knowledge to complete the French baroque style String-Quintet. This piece stops where the fugue would begin, being just the first Chaconne-like introduction.
