Navigation etc.

As Missud (himself a clarinetist) was the conductor of the Salem Cadet Band by 1879 the work may have originally been for clarinet and wind band. The fact that the clarinet/piano version exists as parts and not a piano score with a clarinet part perhaps also suggests an original version for clarinet and wind band. The clarinet part carries no plate number and has its own copyright notice--perhaps it was part of the engraved set of parts for the wind band version.
