Misc. Notes Because most of my Intabulations are never heard before, I decided to make a simple computer synthesized audio file for hearing control. (In this Synthesized performance, I replaced the voice samples with woodwinds)

Discussion of CD recording of excerpts from the 1590 vol., including this madrigal

Navigation etc.

I assume by instrumentation "5 voices" one means as always 5 voices a cappella- that if Dalla Casa had called for continuo this would be listed in the instrumentation line! This is essential. - Schissel (btw is Il secondo libro the same book that has a fuller name "Il secondo libro de madrigali a cinque voci con i passaggi"- which has been recorded at least in part, by the way, on the "Arts" CD label in 2001? That recording has a piece - I assume the same one? called "Se 'l dolce bacio ch'io vi diedi" which in that recording lasts 2'55". So - two recordings, one here in arrangement, one in the original . Ah. From the link above, yes, without bc. :) - Schissel
