Apparently, the one piece to survive in the piano literature from this work was No.12 entitled Feu roulant. Etude d’agilité which was also published separately at the time as Op.263bis. A version for 2 pianos of No.12 appeared as Op.256 (published by Hofmeister, Hofmeister's Monatsbericht (1868), p.19). It appears that subsequent editors of the solo piano version have all erroneously labeled it as being Op.256.
