Instrumental indications (e.g. Corni. and Viol. on page 17) suggest that the work was at some point orchestrated. Some of the numbers in this edition call for duet accompaniment but most require one piano.

A new edition was published by Augener in 1879 (translation, possibly not a new edition) and by Siegel in 1901.
