Reprinted in 1741 as Pièces de clavecin … œuvre premier. Later edited by Camille Saint-Saëns and published in Paris, 1895 by A. Durand et Fils.
Recent scholarship has determined that the symbol at the end of the unmeasured section of the Prélude, which both Saint-Saëns and Jacobi interpreted as a tie, is actually a 'chapeau', and indicates that the entire section is to be repeated.
