The work was published, with the D minor sonata, by Nägeli, in an edition so filled with errors that - unless that edition did not circulate (except to the composer ( )- the 1803 Simrock might almost better be called a 2nd corrected edition (this from Ries, in the Notizen, quoted/translated by Thayer.)
