Misc. Comments

Exists in two versions, according to Greene (Henry Holden Huss: an American composer's life.) Performing materials for the first version, however, seem to be lost (only the reduction survives); the family received the materials for the revision from Schirmer in 1956 and they are now in the New York Public Library. (Greene, p.198.) (Therefore, the version recorded on the Hyperion CD is the revision, not the 1894 version here.)

(There are other concertante works by Huss, some for piano and orchestra, and a violin concerto in D minor.)
