From the editor's preface:
The composer of this Partia, a Mr Grobe, is today totally unknown. Nothing is known about when he was born or when he died, or if he actually composed this piece. The only trace of him is his name on the cover of a manuscript written around 1700, and preserved in the Duben collection at the University Library of Uppsala. The copies of the manuscript, numbered IMHS 18:27, that I have used where gratiously provided by the library.
