Misc. Comments
- Bach's authorship of this work is uncertain. Some scholars feel it was by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, and it does appear on some W. F. Bach recordings. Others are only prepared to say it is in the "school" of J.S. Bach (David Schulenberg, Wagner College, NY) [1]. while the 1990 edition of the Bach Werke Verzeichnis (BWV) stated that there was insufficient evidence to place this in the "doubtful" or "spurious" categories of J. S. Bach's works.
