After the Frankfurt bank/exchange over which Telemann lived for a time? Zohn in Music for a Mixed Taste (p.106) suggests arguments can be given for a date of composition sometime between 1719 (when hope for the Mississippi was high) and somewhat after 1720. (Apparently the watermark on the score paper confirms a Frankfurt origin for the composition even if it was taken to Dresden during composition or for copying, if I understand Zohn right, and Pisendel may further be responsible for some of the ms. copies we have besides- I assume then from what he writes that we also have the autograph somewhere, perhaps...) The suite has been recorded commercially a couple of times with a duration of somewhere in the 20 minute range. - Schissel
